Fuel Assistance and Food Stamps
The Outreach Department assists with applications for fuel assistance until April 30 2013. When you call for an appointment we will discuss with you what documents you need to bring in to have a complete application otherwise your fuel assistance might be delayed if you have to send in additional paperwork. We will copy your documents and mail in your application
At the same time we can also complete a food stamp application because often the required documentation is the same. I can mail in your food stamp application to the Department of Transistional assistance in Hyannis and thatoffice will conduct a phone interview with you within a week or two.

It is a zero to three per cent interest loan and is repaid at the time of sale or transfer of the home. There are generally no monhly payments and no interst accrues.
Eligibility is based on income guidelines and documentation of need. For more information call the Outreach Office at the COA or Susan Gillam at 617 204 3739. You can also visit www.mass.gov/mrc.hmlp
